OF SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVES (CSR)

of Council of School Representatives
After
receipt of names of school representatives, a printed list will
be distributed at the October Council meeting.
Duration
of Meetings
Regular
meetings of the Council of School Representatives start at 6:00
pm. and end by 8:30 pm, unless extended by a majority vote of
those present to extend the time.
Minutes of Meetings
CSR
minutes shall be a summary format which shall provide a record
of actions taken and the essence of major points covered in
debate.
Question
Period
Question
Period provides an opportunity for School Representatives to
pose questions about matters not included on the Council of
School Representative meeting agenda. Question Period is for
15 minutes unless Council, by a majority vote, approves an extension.
Questions may be directed to the representative of Edmonton
Public Schools, Local Executive and Staff, and District Representatives.
Questions
pertaining to individual concerns should be directed to Local
and ATA staff on a confidential basis. School Representatives
are reminded that the Code of Professional Conduct must be adhered
to at all times.
Report
from Executive
The
purpose of this report is to provide the information upon which
Council can hold Executive accountable. Accordingly, prior to
approval of this report Council may, by motion and two-thirds
(2/3) majority, vote to:
a) reverse, alter, or expand a decision made by Executive,
b)
to amend or, where feasible, rescind an action taken by Executive.
School
Representative Seminars
Executive
shall provide information and training for school representatives
that relate to their role as School Representatives.
