PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
This Committee assesses the professional development needs
of the membership, maintains liaison with the ATA, Edmonton
Public Schools, and other agencies offering professional
development opportunities and programs. It gathers and distributes
information about professional development opportunities
and facilitates programs and activities which enable teachers
to improve their teaching practice. Meetings are usually
once a month.
The
Mentorship Program is a collaborative initiative of Edmonton
Public Schools and Edmonton Public Teachers Local 37. Information
